CPD is all about showing that you as a professional in the Health and Social Care sector have kept up your skills and knowledge and are able to do your job in a way that meets the sector’s standards, eg (National minimum care standards).
Everything we do, both at work and in our social lives, develops us as individuals, so we are being encouraged to formally record what we do and to take control of our own learning and development. Whether it is identifying a new way to deal with people or discovering an activity we enjoy, learning has taken place.
We are always developing transferable skills, knowledge and understanding which are useful both at work and at home.
